Cresent Chase I and II Johnston, Iowa As the mechanical and electrical contractor for the Crescent Chase I & II office buildings, Wolin has worked with Ryan Companies on over 70,000 SF of office space that was completed through a fast track design/build procurement system. Wolin was privileged to perform not only the mechanical and electrical design and construction of the project but also all of the commissioning, energy modeling, and template submissions for LEED certification. These two similar projects that have been constructed side by side for Pioneer Hi-Bred International, and been designed for commercial office environments demonstrating the integration of energy efficiency techniques to efficient and cost effective construction technologies.
Both projects were enrolled in MidAmerican Energy’s “Commercial New Construction” program with the first building received over $50,000 in rebates and the second anticipating a rebate of approximately $30,000.

Farmer's Mutual Hail Wolin completed the Electrical Design/Build for this 2-story, 82,000 square foot office facility in West Des Moines.
The complete package included site and interior lighting, voice & data, sound system, back-up generator, and fire alarm.

Altoona Data Center This 30,000 square foot state of the art data center and business continuity center, which enables businesses to consolidate continuity plans and quickly relocate staff and operations in the event of a disaster.
Wolin’s scope of work included two separate fiber optic raceway installations, Category 6 voice, data, and all computer related cabling and installation to the 292 workstations.
In addition, our scope included the building power design, lighting, and installation: 3,000 amp 480 volt main electrical service, 900 kw and 750 kw diesel generators, 500 KVA uninterruptable power supply, and high voltage connection capability to two MidAmerican substations for redundancy

Community State Banks Complete Mechanical and Electrical Design Build for several branch banks. We’ve also installed closed loop geothermal heating and cooling systems at the Ankeny and Waukee locations. These systems are very efficient methods of heating and cooling a facility with heat pumps averaging over 13.5 EER and 3.5 COP.
